2008 TRAIL'S END POPCORN SALE FACT SHEET

POPCORN SALE ITEMS & KEY DATES - Enclosed with the 2008 popcorn material is last years final invoice, providing you a break down of the product and amount of each item your individual unit sold in both Show & Sell (SNS) and Take Order (T/O) sales. Bonus incentives are offered in 2008 to take advantage of the Show & Deliver (SND) option to save time and increase sales efficiency.

      • 9/12/08 SNS/SND product available
      • 9/13/08 Popcorn kick-off…all sales begin
      • 10/22/08 Popcorn SNS/SND dollars due
      • 11/03/08 All Take Order popcorn product orders due ("on-line orders"& paper orders)
      • 11/14/08 Take order popcorn product pick-up
      • 12/08/08 Popcorn T/O dollars due
      • 12/31/08 Unit commission checks mailed prior to this deadline date

COMMISSION PLAN & TIME TABLE – the base commission to all selling units will be 30%. Units who have sales history (sold any amount) during 2007 will be eligible for additional commission and other direct deposit bonus deposits into your individual unit shop account.

Units must meet all of the following requirements to qualify for the 30% base commission.

  • Submit product order for SNS and SND product on time, not later than 8/29/08
  • Complete information to identify the unit popcorn chairman and unit committee chairman
  • Provide on time payment with certified funds no later than 10/23/08 for SNS & SND product total invoice
  • Submit product order for Take Order product on time, not later than 11/03/08
  • Provide on time payment with certified funds no later than 12/8/08 for T/O product total invoice. Prize orders are also due at this time.
  • Declare selected options for direct deposit into unit shop accounts (all units) no later than 11/03/08
  • Boy Scout units declare no later than 11/03/08 selected option to participate in prize program or accept direct deposit option

ADDITIONAL COMMISSION BONUS POINTS AVAILABLE TO QUALIFYING UNITS

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Before your unit can be set up for orders or work on line, you must complete paperwork to identify your unit popcorn chair and verify you current committee chair. This form will be available with the delivery of the popcorn packets.
  • The selling units must create new user passwords for the Trails-End popcorn system annually.
  • Show & Sell dollars are payable to the council on 10/22/08 in full; certified funds required.
  • Popcorn product ordered for SNS/SND (8/27/08) must be ordered by the case.
  • Popcorn products ordered for Take Order (TO) sales (11/03/08) may be ordered by container. (see OPTIONS below for more information)
  • Please assure that all remittance is submitted to the council on time and by certified funds.
  • If you are not ordering online you will need to turn in by 11/03/08 …two (2) copies of the unit order & settlement form, and two copies of the prize request form to the Council Service Center.
  • Prizes will be mailed directly to the Popcorn Chairman on record when your popcorn order has been paid in full.
  • Popcorn commission checks will be mailed to the committee chairman on record by December 31st for all units that have paid their popcorn order in full by December 8, 2008.

OPTIONS

Additional 3% direct deposit to unit account maintained in the Texas Trails Scout office.

BOY SCOUT selling units (only) may elect to not participate in the prize incentive program outlined in the popcorn packets; forms will be provided for you to determine your choice to accept an additional 3% bonus deposited directly into your TTC Scout Shop Unit Account. Boy Scout units selecting this option will not be eligible to choose gift prizes. ** This option does not apply in 2008 to Cub Scout selling units **

Additional 1% direct deposit to unit account maintained in the Texas Trails Scout office.

Cub Scout or Boy Scout selling units in 2008 may elect to have 50% of their earned commission deposited directly into your TTC Scout Shop Unit Account, and earn an additional 1% on your total 2008 ales.

Additional 1% commission, paid direct to unit based on minimum increase of 10% above 2007 SNS/SND level

RECOGNITION

$200.00 CREDIT CARD GIFT CERTIFICATE

The single individual Boy Scout or Cub Scout youth member in the Texas Trails Council recording the largest individual sales record in 2008 Pop Corn sales will receive this certificate. This certificate may be used for any purchase of goods and services same as cash anywhere major credit cards are accepted.

DRAWING

I-POD

To be eligible for this drawing, individual Boy Scout or Cub Scout youth will qualify by selling a minimum of $150.00 product. Only one entry submitted for this minimum level of sales. Eligible participations will be recorded by the unit and submitted to the Council office by 12/8/08 for entry into the drawing to be held after the completion of the sales cycle.

FAMILY TRIP TO SIX FLAGS – 4 Six Flags tickets and $300.00 cash card for expenses

To be eligible for this drawing, individual Boy Scout or Cub Scout youth "fill-it-up" participations will be entered. Multiple entries are possible. One entry will be submitted for each full sales order sheet completed and properly submitted to the Council. Drawing will be held after the completion of the sales cycle. Units will be responsible for submitting copies of the "fill-it-up" paperwork direct to Trails-End for patches and certificate.

INCENTIVE PLAN FOR YOUTH SALESMEN - There will be Kernel Cash, Gift Cards, and Scholarships again this year. The boys will be able to choose a single prize from the sales level they achieve, or multiple prizes from lower levels not exceeding the value level earned. Remember to order a patch for all boys that sell in 2008 Prizes are worth an additional 3% and funded by the Council as part of the unit bonus incentive. Scholarship and gift card eligibility are based on sales level achievement and provided thru Trail-End
