Webelos Woods is a great time for your Webelos Den to visit most of the troops in Abilene to help the boys decide what troop they might want to join.  Webelos Woods is scheduled for October 24-26, 2008 at Camp Tonkawa.

A Round-Robin event will take place, where each group of Webelos will travel to visit each troop and see if that is the troop they might want to join.

It is important that your Den be hosted by a troop.  Please contact the Service Center if you need a Host Troop.  You will need a host troop to help you coordinate food and camping Saturday night.  Webelos do not camp Friday night, but arrive no later than 8:00am Saturday to get their tents set up, register and get ready for the day.

You can download the registration form for your unit to fill out and send back to the Service Center.  Please make special note of the fee deadlines!   Please bring the completed and signed health forms with you to Webelos Woods.

This has been a great activity for many years, and we hope you will take the time to come out and visit the troops!

ATTENTION SCOUTS AND SCOUTERS!

Webelos Woods is a great time to show off your troop skills and invite Webelos to join your troop.  Webelos Woods is scheduled for October 24-26, 2008 at Camp Tonkawa.

A Round-Robin event will take place, where each group of Webelos will travel to visit each troop and see if that is the troop they might want to join.

It is important that your troop have a well-planned demonstration-type activity, with a lot of hands-on stuff for the Webelos to do.  We do not want duplicate events, so signing up early is very important so you can schedule the demo you want.  This is a first-come, first-served reservation for the demos.  The sign-up for the demos is at the Council Service Center.

You can download the forms for your unit to fill out and send back to the Service Center.  Please make special note of the fee deadlines!

In the past, we had a Totem contest and a flyer contest to give the Webelos.  The totems were given to the group of Webelos, so you might need 20.  Flyers can be given to each Webelos Scout, so you might need 75.

This has been a great activity for many years, and we hope you will take the time to come out and show your skills!
