| Interested Scouters of the Comanche Trail Council (now merged
with the Chisholm Trail Council to form the Texas Trails Council) began
the Camp Billy Gibbons Alumni Association in 1987 to provide an opportunity
for those with a special interest in Camp Billy Gibbons to give a dedicated
gift of $25 dues to Camp Billy Gibbons Maintenance and Program Enhancement.
This money has allowed the council to buy program supplies and to do maintenance
on the camp over the years. The dues are paid each January and deposited
in a designated fund until used for camp.
The Camp Billy Gibbons Alumni Lifetime Member is a onetime gift of $500 to the Trust Fund of the Council. Chairman of the Alumni Association is Butch Wakefield of Stephenville. - The Otena Lodge, Order of the Arrow, has been given a matching grant of $4,000 by the National Order of the Arrow to help build a Health Lodge at Camp Billy Gibbons.
- The Camp Billy Gibbons Alumni Association dues are payable in January. Send your check made out to "Camp Billy Gibbons Alumni Association" to the Texas Trails Council, BSA, PO Box 1086, Brownwood, TX 76804-1086. Click on "Alumni Members" above to see who is paid for the year 2002.
- We will celebrate the 75th Anniversary of Camp Billy Gibbons in 2006! Now is the time for us to get camp ready for that anniversary.
