2009 DOUBLE MOUNTAIN WINTER CAMPOREE

December 11, 12, and 13

Registration Packet

Double Mountain District will hold its annual Winter Camporee at Ft. Griffin State Historical Site north of Albany, Texas. There will be Scout Skills competitions for the Patrols during the day and there will be a Dessert cook-off for the patrols and a Scoutmasters minute competition for the Scoutmasters. Prizes will be awarded to the winning Patrol and the winning Scoutmaster.

Cost is $7.00 per scout with 1 registered leader free per 5 scouts registered.  We have a special patch if your troop made 2007, 2008, and 2009 Double Mountain Winter Camporees.

Webelos are welcome to come.  They need to come with a troop. 

You will need to bring your water!  ***Ground fires may be allowed, we are not under a burn ban at this time  Come prepared for the possibility that fires may not be allowed.***

Registration is due by November 25th, after that, there is a late fee of $1.00 and all leaders must pay.  If you attended last year, we hope to see you back.

Late fee after Nov. 25, is $8 per scout.  No free Leaders!!!

 

Camporee Schedule

Friday evening check in starting at 5:00 PM

Fri evening Scoutmaster and SPL meeting at headquarters at 9:30 PM

 Sat:   Breakfast 7:00 AM – 8:15 AM

          Flags 8:15 AM

          Morning Competitions 8:30 AM – 11:30 AM

          Lunch 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM

          Afternoon Competitions 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM

          Service Project 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM

          Evening Flags 5:00 PM

          Supper 5:15 PM – 6:30 PM

          Dessert Turnin 7:00 PM

          Evening campfire and skills awards 7:30 PM – 9:00 PM

          Scoutmasters Minutes Competition 9:00 PM – 10:00 PM

 

Sun: Breakfast 7:00 AM – 8:15 AM

          Flags 8:15 AM

          Chapel service 8:30 AM – 9:00 AM

          Break Camp and go home 9:00 AM
