While Scouting is carried out by the Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, and Venturers the Council does host several events of its own.  They are mostly banquets and recognition dinners.

Sporting Clays Spectacular:  Camp Tonkawa, 4117 FM 89, Tuscola

WHAT:

The Texas Trails Sporting Clays event is a unique opportunity for companies and individuals to help the Scouts to raise money for worthwhile projects and operating costs, while giving the participants a lot of “bang” for their sponsorship buck.
Texas Trails Council has a truly unique shooting venue that changes every year with new scenarios. You will never shoot the same course twice! No-one has a “home course” advantage at Camp Tonkawa!

Report to State
WHEN: Saturday, February 4, 2012
WHERE: Austin, Texas
WHO:

All Scouts and Scouters

COST: To be Determined
WHAT:

For one day, downtown Austin becomes a sea of Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Venturers and Sea Scouts from all over Texas marching down Congress Avenue to the Capitol. From there, special Scout delegates from each council in the state go to the floor of the House of Representatives and report to member of the state government about Scouting activities from the past year, and plans for the future. The Capitol Area Council's organization and execution of this program has become the standard for other councils across the country. It is a unique opportunity for the Scouts that take part.
