He was a member of Troop 203 sponsored by the University Baptist Church of Abilene and was an organizer and member of the Troop at First Baptist Church (195l-’57). He was Assistant Scoutmaster of Troop 203 from 1957-’59 and has been either the Scoutmaster or Assistant Scoutmaster of that troop from 1966 to the present.
