After South East Asia, he was a Committee Member, Assistant Scoutmaster, and Scoutmaster of Troop 225 at Dyess A.F.B. Beginning with Troop #59, he joined the training team and has filled every leadership position. He attended Wood Badge Course SC-216 and received his beads. He filled the position of Coach Counselor on Wood Badge Course SC-360 and is presently serving as a ticket counselor for that course. Rick has been very active in the council Train The Trainer program and has served as an Assistant Scoutmaster on the staffs of Eagle Mountain 82 and 83.
Rick is a very intense man who believes totally in the ideals set down by the Boy Scouts of America. He works untiringly to bring those ideals to the young men and women of our council.
It is with a great deal of pleasure that the Chisholm Trail Council presents the Silver Beaver to Richard C. Olewine.
