The selection committee in arriving at the person to receive the third Silver Fawn to be awarded in the Council picked a person that has truly rendered unselfish service to the youth of the Chisholm Trail Council. She has served as a Den Mother 6 years, a Merit Badge Counselor for 15 years, conducted Craft Shops for Den Mothers, and she is the mother of 2 Eagle Scout sons. She also designed and made the Mural for the Dining Hall at Camp Tonkawa.
She is the wife of a Woodbadge Scouter, Steve Rowe, and has been married for 40 years. She was born at Tyler and worked at Scott and White as an R. N. for several years. She is an artist and has done numerous paintings, she has been Solo Artist of the month. She has numerous hobbies. It is with pleasure and admiration that the National Court of Honor awards to Edith Rowe the Silver Fawn.
