Although still a young medical Doctor, this man has already made a significant contribution to Scouting and to his community.

A graduate of Abilene High School, the University of Wisconsin, and the University of Texas Medical School, he is a member of the staff of Hendrick Memorial Hospital, and recently was elected President of the Taylor Jones County Medical Society.

He was elected to the Chisholm Trail Council Executive Board in 1973, served as Vice-President for Finance in 1974, Council President in 1975 and re-elected President for 1976. Under his leadership, the Council budget was balanced for the first time in recent years.

He was named the "Outstanding Young Man in Abilene" in 1975. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Abilene Chamber of Commerce, and is a member of the Abilene Bicentennial Committee.

A member of the Holy Family Catholic Church, he and Kathy have two daughters and one son.

It is with pleasure that the Chisholm Trail Council, Boy Scouts of America, presents the Silver Beaver Award to Dr. James D. Webster.
