James
C. BeardJim has served in Scouting since 1983 and is currently the Scoutmaster for Troop 223 and Assistant Cubmaster for Pack 227. He has previously served as an Assistant Scoutmaster, Committee Chairman, Advancement Chairman, Cubmaster, and Webelos Leader and has been on staff for Wood Badge SR404.
Jim is retired from the City of Abilene and the Texas Army National Guard and is currently a member of the Old Guard Bunch, an organization for veterans. Jim’s wife, Teresa, was presented the Silver Beaver several years ago, and together they continue to serve Scouting in Texas Trails Council.
Dan
Fergus, Jr.Dan has served on the Texas Trails Council Executive Board for the past five years and has served as an Assistant Scoutmaster for Troop 206 and a Cubmaster for three years.
Dan is active in the community as a member of the Board of the YMCA and Board of Lawyers for the YMCA, and is a member of the Lawyers Association. He is also a member of the President Exchange Club, Past President of the Mental Health Association, Past Board Member of Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Past Pastoral and Care Council Treasurer, and is on the Board of the Abilene Philharmonic. He is also very active as a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church.
