2007 Silver Beavers Paul Brown
Paul is married to Perry Kay. Paul has two sons Caleb and Ethan who are both Eagle Scouts. Paul’s father was the Explorer Scout advisor in Haskell for many years. At age nine Paul joined Scouting as a Cub Scout. Paul has been a Webelos Den Pack leader for Pack 136; Assistant Scoutmaster for Troop 136; Timber Tag trained; Boy Scout Training Award; double Mountain District Scouter of the Year; Wood Badge trained; received the Webelos Den Leader Award; served as Scoutmaster for Troop 136; recieved the District Award of Merit and has served 12 years on Timber Tag staff; he has served as Timber Tag Senior Patrol Leader and Scoutmaster; served on Camp Tonkawa staff for six years; and serves as White Buffalo Roundtable Chairman. His other civic services include; board of directors for Abilene Preservation League, and officer in the Sons of Confederate Veterans. Paul graduated from McMurry University; member of Kappa Delta Pi and Education Honor Society. Paul has been a farmer, rural mail carrier, and currently works for Abilene ISD working with children with special needs. Paul has been named Lead Teacher at Alta Vista Elementary for five years.

Baptist Church of Haskell and director
of Young Married
Sunday School class.
Patrick Pace
Patrick and his wife Carmel have five sons; Joseph, Matthew, Eagle Scout Stephen, Life Scout Ben, and Webelo II Ryan. He is an Eagle Scout and a Brotherhood member of the Order of the Arrow, he received the District Award of Merit in 2005. He has served on one Jamboree staff. He has completed Wood Badge training and Timber Tag Boy Scout leadership training. Patrick has served as Webelos Deb Leader, Assistant Scoutmaster and various unit committee positions. Patrick has served as District Chairman, and District Commissioner for the Double Mountain District. He is a sustaining member of the James E. West Foundation, a member of the Council Executive Board and the Council Executive Committee. Patrick has been instrumental in the effort working with the State of Texas and City of Abilene to secure title to Camp Tonkawa land the Council is currently leasing. Patrick is involved with the FFA and 4H stock show committees. He is Past-President of the Rule Lions Club and the Haskell County Jr. Livestock Association. Patrick was a member of the Rule ISD Board for 11 years, serving as President for 3 years. He is presently Mayor Pro-tem and council member of the Rule City Council, a Reserve Police Officer and Certified Texas Peace Officer. He is Vice President and Branch Manager for Hamlin National Bank, Rule.
Patrick a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and serves as
Area Chairman for the Catholic Committee on Scouting and directs the Ad Altare
Dei for the Boy Scout Age youth of the Catholic Church.
John Cole
John is married to the former Mimi Campbell. He earned B.S. and M.S. degrees in Geological Engineering from the University of Oklahoma and a MBA from Stanford University. John is an active member for the Texas Trails Council Executive Board and served as the Council Treasurer. He retired from Texas Commerce Bank - Houston serving in various management positions in the Energy Division, Financial Institution Division and Commercial Loan Division. John has served as an active fund raiser for educational institutions and various civic endeavors. Held Directorship and/or Trustee positions for public and private as well as non-profit corporations and as Director on several bank boards. Since retirement he serves as Trustee of The Institute for Rehabilitation and Research Foundation at the Medical Center in Houston. He is a three term member of the Lampasas City Council and presently serving as Mayor Pro Tem. He is also a Board Member of the Lampasas Economic Development Corporation and the Central Texas Water Supply Corporation. John is an active member of St. Mary’s Episcopal church and serves as Junior Warden. |
